Meet our superstars:


Linda Sorkin, MA LMFT

Mrs. Sorkin is the founder of Soul Empowered Coaching/Empowered SOULutions. She works with tweens, teens, parents, couples and families as a licensed therapist, certified teen life coach and specialist in self-empowerment and relationships. In addition to her private practice, she consults and develops content for companies and community-based programs to support parents, faculty and kids. Linda offers a unique hybrid approach, "Therapeutic Coaching," that combines various aspects of traditional therapy with proven and unique coaching strategies through which years of her private practice and real life experiences get applied.

Linda has a B.A. in Communications/Psychology/ English from UC Santa Barbara and a M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University.


Dr. Karen Kramer, Teen Life Coach

Dr. Karen Kramer is the founder of Finding Your Pearls Life Coaching. Since 1993, she has inspired diverse individuals ranging from teens and college students to those new in management up to the executive level. As a Certified Teen Wisdom™ Life Coach and an adjunct faculty member and executive coach for the Center for Creative Leadership's (CCL®), Karen brings to her work both the professional and personal aspects of life coaching. Some of the topics she covers in coaching include developing self-esteem, managing relationships, improving in academics, and planning for college. Her approach to coaching incorporates assessing one's self, setting goals, taking action, receiving support, and gaining accountability.

Karen has a Ph.D. in human and organizational development from The Fielding Graduate Institute with an emphasis in emotional intelligence and leadership.


Erica Rood, Teacher

Erica Rood began her teaching career over ten years ago when her interest for early childhood development led her to pre-school teaching. Since then, she has taught students from kindergarten to sixth grade. Erica holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences with a minor in Child Development. She has an Early Childhood Teaching Certificate from Montessori Center International as well as a Masters in Education. She recently completed her California Administrative Credential; however her passion for teaching and learning has kept her in the classroom.

Erica's goal is to bring out the best in every child and as an experienced teacher, she has used positive reinforcement strategies to develop accountability, improve behavior, and build self-esteem in her students.


Dr. Adria O'Donnell, Psy. D.

Dr. Adria O'Donnell is a licensed clinical psychologist practicing in San Diego. For the past 10 years, she has specialized in working with children and adolescent girls. Her focus is on social skills training for adolescents, learning disabilities, and relational aggression, a more covert form of bullying often used by girls.

In these areas, Dr. O'Donnell has become a coveted public speaker and has developed several pioneering programs. She created a program called "Straight Talk" for middle and high school aged girls, which teaches conflict resolution skills and provides assertiveness training.

Dr. O'Donnell earned her Bachelor's Degree at the University of San Diego in Communication and Hispanic Studies, attended the University of Granada, Spain, and earned her Doctorate from the California School of Professional Psychology, San Diego.
