Toilet training can be very overwhelming and frustrating at times. It can be very overwhelming and frustrating because your child may not be old enough to fully grasp the idea of what it means and what it requires to be toilet trained. It is also important for you to remain calm during this time and for you to not stress out so much. The more that you were in the more that you stress out, the more that you project fear onto your child, and this can make things a lot worse. A good way for you to start this process with your son is by letting him know that he does not have to fear using the toilet. It is very important that you start to associate using the restroom with the toilet. It is also important for you to start associating that he will no longer have to use diapers, but instead he will make a transition into underwear. A great way to start this transition, is by putting underwear instead of diapers on. This will let your child know that he is transitioning and that he needs to start using the restroom in the toilet. It is also recommended that you are next to him whenever he is on the toilet so that he does not have any fear or have any mixed emotions about this. Remember, this is a big change for him and you need to be there to help love him and support him in anything.
